If you are a teenager, acne is a dirty word. The increase of the hormone androgen causes an overproduction of keratin and sebum resulting in clogged pores. Bacteria begins to grow and the result is ugly blemishes and zits that none of us want on our faces. If it is neglected, the result can be blackheads and scarring that we will be stuck with for our adult lives. Dealing with acting as a teenager is tough enough, we don’t want to carry that embarrassment into our adulthood.
There are more products available in the market today than ever before. It seems as though every time we turn on our TVs another supermodel or beautiful actress is telling us about the product they use to keep their skin clean and fresh. As they talk about more and more products it becomes quite confusing as to what they actually are. In general, they come in six different categories:
-soaps
-scrubs and masks
-cleansers
-toners
-face scrubs and masks
-scarring treatment
While all of the above products are tagged as acne treatments not all of them are suitable for acne affected skin. Some of them are merely cosmetic in nature and will not cure the actual infection. You will be able find all these products readily available on the Internet as well as storefronts. However, before purchasing any products you need to do your research and make an informed decision. Not doing so, can result in the purchase of products that could actually make your skin condition worse. Your best bet is to seek the advice of your doctor or pharmacist so you obtain the proper medicine.
Acne can present some uncomfortable moments for teenagers as well as adults. Large skin blemishes tend to draw attention and the next thing you know people are pointing and talking. And the situation any of us would be comfortable in. The frustrations can continue when you’re trying to get rid of acting as sometimes you buy the wrong product can only make it worse. Here are a few tips to make sure that doesn’t happen to you:
1. Flushing your system is an inexpensive and effective way to help with the condition of acne. By simply drinking eight or more glasses of water each day you can flush the toxins out of your system error cause of this embarrassing condition.
2. Garlic is another quick fix. Simply rub it on the affected areas a couple of times a day for a few weeks and you should see an improvement.
3. Cosmetics have an ingredient that is also very helpful in treating acne scarring. Rosehip Seed Oil is a great way to treat that scarring. Applying it to the infected area twice a day for 15 minutes will help dramatically.
4. Eating healthy is one of the greatest ways to prevent acne. We all fell victim during our teenage years to the wonderful world of fast food, pizza, cakes, cookies and chocolate. While all of these foods taste great they are unfortunately one of the major causes of acting as the sugars, saturated fats and vegetable oils that they are prepared with our surefire ingredients in the appearance of a zit.
5. If your budget is tight consider rubbing apricot juice on your acne. While it sounds a little bit off-the-wall it does alleviate the condition if you apply it to the affected area for about 10 minutes a day.
Follow these helpful tips and you’ll be well on your way to curing and preventing acne. Not addressing it or simply ignoring altogether is definitely not the way to go. It will only result in your acne becoming more serious in a larger embarrassment in public.

Why is it that skin care products can cost so much or so little, depending on where you shop? There are hundreds of them out there. It’s amazing how the prices vary from place to place, though. It can be very confusing when you’re trying to pick the best product for the least money.
What’s the price of clear, beautiful skin? Well, that all depends on what products you choose. Common sense says to avoid anything extremely cheap. After all, trying to cut corners will get you nowhere. How do you know which of the other products to choose, though?
Skin care is a tricky business. Obviously, you want your skin to look its best. You don’t want to have to spend incredible amounts of money to get the best results, though. That’s why you need to look for the best of both worlds and find an inexpensive treatment that actually works for you.
Choosing the product or products you want is only half the battle. The next step is getting the best deal you can on them. The easiest way to do that is to use the Internet to your advantage. By shopping online, you can save money, find bargains and sometimes even get free shipping. So, if you can wait a little while in exchange for saving a little money, shopping online is the best way to go.
Another way to save on skin care is to simply prevent yourself from having as many skin problems that need treatment. There are lots of ways to keep your skin healthy. Here are a few.
You need to think about the effects of both sun and water on your skin. Too much sun can seriously damage your skin. Water, on the other hand, is very good for it. You should try to drink lots of water every day and drink more water if you’re going to be out in the sun, as well as wear the proper sun protection.
Another thing you need to consider, when it comes to skin care is the effects of alcohol, caffeine and smoking on your skin. Even second-hand smoke can damage your skin, as can excessive amounts of alcohol or caffeine. So, drink moderately, if at all, if you want to avoid skin problems later on. Also, if you smoke, consider quitting.
Finally, If you really want to look your best, make sure you keep your stress levels down and get plenty of sleep. Studies show that stress can damage your whole body and so can lack of sleep. So, just by simply resting, you can keep your skin looking healthier. You’ll even feel better, too.
Remember, your skin is with you for life. So, take good care of it. Do your best to prevent wear and tear. If you have to buy skin care products anyway, shop online and get the best bargains you can. That way, you’ll be taking care of your bank account and your skin.
If you follow the beauty magazines or the cosmetics industry then you know that cosmetic and skin care companies have been preaching the same old cures and treatments for wrinkles and fine lines for quite a while.
There’s been no real advancements in the ingredients or methods used, that is until the last year or so. There is a new crop of advanced wrinkle treatments popping up that promise fast results, and long term reversal of the causes of aging. We could actually be entering an age where we no longer need to consider surgical face lifts. Instead these advanced wrinkle treatments can hide wrinkles topically and for less money and time.
What Makes them Advanced?
The biggest advancement made in these products is the ingredients used. One of the wrinkles creams I’ve reviewed recently contains several state of the art ingredients I’ve never seen in any other skin care product. You can read a bit more in these Lifecell reviews.
Other wrinkle creams are using age old herbal treatments that are just making it to the main stream so that all women can take advantage of them. Products like Athena 7 Minute Face Lift is a great example. It promises to hide wrinkles and fine lines in 7 minutes or less after application.
Are there Dangers Associated with these Creams?
The down fall to any new product is that it doesn’t have time on it’s side. While professionals can state that these new ingredients and methods of hiding wrinkles and fine lines are safe, the truth will really come out after these anti wrinkle creams have stood the test of time.
Since most of these products are considered to be cosmetic skin care products they are not evaluated by the FDA. Their considered to be in the same category as natural and herbal products. If you have concerns about using and advanced wrinkle treatment I suggest you consult your family doctor or a dermatologist first.
